Project PeacePal is a social profit organization that seeks to ignite a generation of young people to create peace globally through the development of person to person connections across borders and over time. Through these connections can come an understanding of our common humanity, and the recognition of our similarities, creating a feeling of kinship and the resulting desire to help each other. The work of PeacePal is to provide an antidote to the inevitable conflict which arises when people are disconnected and see themselves as different from each other. The Peace Flag Project is a 501c3 nonprofit organization working to create more peace on the planet by educating people of peaceful ways to live our every day lives. Our goal is to create a Culture of Peace and we work toward this goal in three ways. Providing people the opportunity to create Peace Flags, which inspire us to create a better world. Celebration of the United Nations International Day of Peace by organizing an event which joins us with millions of people around the world celebrating this day of peace. Nepal Partners:

12seconds for Peace is a collaborative video-arts and humanitarian project designed to bring together the creative talents of individuals, artists, musicians and film makers to dynamically push forward the agenda for peace. The resultant videos; individually and collectively are made available for use in public spaces, galleries, open-air events, concerts etc, to highlight the global collective call for peace and to raise funds for various charitable and non-profit organizations. The power of 12seconds for Peaceis in its ability to enable every citizen of the world to raise a voice for peace. Today’s Youth Asia Foundation (TYAF) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization established in 2002 in Kathmandu, working in several development sectors of Nepal. The core focus of TYAF is to create mainstream leadership platforms for young leaders at the grassroots, regional and national levels. Youth Foundation Nepal created one prestigious award ,named “Social Development Award” which aims to promote social entrepreneurship in Nepal. Ugandan Partners:

In Movement: Art for Social Changeis a transformative arts education project working with over 350 disadvantaged children and youth in Uganda. In Movement uses the arts as a tool of empowerment for our students, supplementing their primary school education with a curriculum built around education in music, dance, drama, visual arts, creative writing, and circus arts. Our activities are designed to promote the development of imagination, creativity, critical thinking, self-esteem, leadership skills, communication skills, gender equity, and environmental awareness. www.inmovement.org

Educate! unlocks the potential of African youth to solve their communities’ greatest problems of poverty, disease and environmental degradation. Our model is exponential empowerment – investing long-term in a few so they can positively impact many others. Educate! provides a proven mix of a leadership course, long term mentoring, practical experience solving a community problem, and an alumni network for high school aged youth. Today Educate! is empowering 830 high-school aged youth across Uganda, a country that has the youngest population in the world, and developing a model of education that can be applied throughout Africa. www.experienceeducate.org

Building Tomorrow (BT) is an international social-profit organization encouraging philanthropy among young people by raising awareness and funds to build and support educational infrastructure projects for under-served children in sub-Saharan Africa. BT chapters and supporters provide grants to communities equal to land and construction materials for a new academy while local community members, family and friends of future BT students volunteer 20,000 hours of their time to construct each academy. www.buildingtomorrow.org
